Brian Lugar, in capacity as Director of the Waterfront Development Corporation spearheaded a campaign to
build an exciting new children's play structure on Bedford's waterfront in Dewolfe Park. The structure commemorates the "HMCS Haida", its
captain and crew. Admiral Harry ("Hardover Harry") Dewolfe, a former Bedford resident, was one of Canada's most celebrated war veterans
with he and his crew contributing to the Allied victory in the Battle of the Atlantic. The "ship", a joint project of
Waterfront Development Corporation, Halifax Port Authority, and Halifax Regional Municipality was officially opened by WDC Chairman
Eric Thomson, with His Worship Mayor Peter Kelly; the Hon. Minister Ernie Fage, MLA (Minister of Economic Development responsible for WDC);
the Hon. Peter Christie, MLA for Bedford; Councillor Len Goucher; and Port Authority Chairman Alan Abraham Jr. present for the ribbon cutting.

with he and his crew contributing to the Allied victory in the Battle of the Atlantic. The "ship", a joint project of

build an exciting new children's play structure on Bedford's waterfront in Dewolfe Park. The structure commemorates the "HMCS Haida", its
captain and crew. Admiral Harry ("Hardover Harry") Dewolfe, a former Bedford resident, was one of Canada's most celebrated war veterans
with he and his crew contributing to the Allied victory in the Battle of the Atlantic. The "ship", a joint project of
Waterfront Development Corporation, Halifax Port Authority, and Halifax Regional Municipality was officially opened by WDC Chairman
Eric Thomson, with His Worship Mayor Peter Kelly; the Hon. Minister Ernie Fage, MLA (Minister of Economic Development responsible for WDC);
the Hon. Peter Christie, MLA for Bedford; Councillor Len Goucher; and Port Authority Chairman Alan Abraham Jr. present for the ribbon cutting.

Brian Lugar, in capacity as Director of the Waterfront Development Corporation spearheaded a campaign to build an exciting new children's play structure on Bedford's waterfront in Dewolfe Park. The structure commemorates the "HMCS Haida", its captain and crew. Admiral Harry ("Hardover Harry") Dewolfe, a former Bedford resident, was one of Canada's most celebrated war veterans with he and his crew contributing to the Allied victory in the Battle of the Atlantic. The "ship", a joint project of Waterfront Development Corporation, Halifax Port Authority, and Halifax Regional Municipality was officially opened by WDC Chairman Eric Thomson, with His Worship Mayor Peter Kelly; the Hon. Minister Ernie Fage, MLA (Minister of Economic Development responsible for WDC); the Hon. Peter Christie, MLA for Bedford; Councillor Len Goucher; and Port Authority Chairman Alan Abraham Jr. present for the ribbon cutting.
